The United States Women’s Soccer team is taking to the pitch for their first match of the 2021 Olympics. Unfortunately for American fans, the match will start at 4:30 a.m. EST. However, there are plenty of ways to watch the replays during more conventional times as both NBC and fans deal with the time difference at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Games. Wednesday’s will feature the likes of Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan and Carli Lloyd as well as Massachusetts natives Sam Mewis and Kristie Mewis. Team USA is going against a Sweden team that knocked them out early on in the knockout rounds of the 2016 Olympics in Rio, giving the American squad a chance for revenge in their opening match.

Start time/TV channel – Wednesday’s game will start at 4:30 a.m. EST for a live broadcast and air on TV via NBC Sports Network. The match will air as a delayed broadcast at 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., with both of those replayed airing at NBCSN as well. If you don’t know how to find the channel via your provider, you can track them down with your provider’s channel finder: Verizon Fios, AT&T, Comcast, Spectrum/Charter, Optimum/Altice, DIRECTV, Dish, Hulu, fuboTV, Sling.
