CBSE 10th assessment and evaluation pattern 2021
CBSE will consider the following exams for awarding the marks to candidate:

1) Periodic Test/ Unit Test – 10 Marks
2) Half Yearly/ Mid-term Examinations – 30 Marks
3) Pre-Board Examinations – 40 Marks
4) Internal assessment – 20 Marks
5) Total – 100 Marks
CBSE 10th result 2021: Internal mark submission date extended due to the Covid situation
Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE, on Tuesday said that CBSE accords highest priority to safety and health of teachers. Keeping in view the situation of pandemic, lockdown in states and safety of teachers and other staff members of affiliated schools, the board has decided to extend the dates, he added.
CBSE 10th result 2021 date may be deferred
As the date to submit the internal assessment marks has been extended by the Board it will directly impact the result announcement date. Therefore, it is highly likely that CBSE will not be able to declare the Class 10th results by June 20, as it was earlier declared by the Board. The board had earlier announced that the entire exercise of tabulation of marks will be completed by June 11 and the result will be declared by June 20.
CBSE Class 10th result not in June as internal marks submission deadline extended
The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) on Tuesday extended the deadline for schools to submit the Class X internal assessment marks to the Board by around 20 days to June 30, 2021. Earlier, the schools were told to submit these internal assessment marks of Class X students with the Board by June 11, 2021 while June 5 was the last date to submit marks (out of 80) based on the formula suggested by the CBSE.
Nagpur University to conduct re-exam for over 4,400 students from May 22-26
In some good news for students who missed the winter-2020 examinations due to one or the other reasons, the Nagpur University has rescheduled their papers from May 22-26. From May 27, the university would also restart its fourth phase of exams, which was deferred due to a surge in Covid-19 cases in Vidarbha last month.
Gujarat 12th board exam: Schools want general stream exam cancelled
The Federation of Self-Financed Schools, Gujarat, has urged the state government to cancel the board exams for Class XII (general stream) and evaluate students based on internal exams and assignments. In a representation to Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani, the federation said that given the prevailing Covid-19 crisis, the government should consider cancelling the Class XII Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) exams.
Assam board exam 2021: Decision on Class X, XII exams schedule by May 25
Assam education minister Ranoj Pegu on Monday said the decision on the new schedule of Assam Class X and XII state board exams will be taken by May 25. Candidates might get the option of appearing in only three subjects, he said, while announcing the decision of digitizing all textbooks for schools on Monday.
SPPU students to get another shot at exam
The students of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) who were unable to appear for the ongoing exam on Monday owing to the impact of the cyclone Tauktae on power and internet connection will get another chance to reattempt the papers. Many students reported to the SPPU exam department regarding the issues faced by them on Monday morning while answering the online paper following which the varsity decided to reconduct the exam for genuine cases.
Anna University re-exam for engineering students in June
Anna University is likely to conduct a re-exam for engineering students from the first week of June. Students who have appeared for third, fifth, seventh semester online exams in February can appear for the unsupervised test, to be conducted online. The exam is optional for students.
Bombay HC seeks boards’ reply to PIL on Std X exams
Bombay high court on Monday sought replies of SSC, ICSE, and CBSE boards on a PIL challenging cancellation of Class X exams due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A bench headed by Justice Shahrukh Kathawalla heard a PIL by Dhananjay Kulkarni, a retired teacher from Pune, stating cancellation of exams could lead to problems in Class XI admissions as different boards will declare results based on different formulae. “The decision (to cancel exams) is going to create problems for two crore students in the country,” his advocate Uday Warunjikar said, adding the Centre will have to intervene and come out with a uniform policy.
